Job Title:Administrator – Childcare & Executive Support

Salary: Up to £30k (depending on experience)

Location: St. Helens (WA9 1UA)

 

Overview

Reporting to the Executive Assistant, the Administrator (Childcare & Executive Support) will provide essential administrative, organisational, and communication support across the business, alongside trusted childcare support for the CEO and CTO’s children.

This is a unique, blended role requiring exceptional professionalism, discretion, flexibility, and care. The position is central to keeping the business running smoothly day-to-day, while also supporting the senior leadership team in balancing professional and family responsibilities.

Based primarily at Enspec’s head office in St Helens, the role combines structured office-based administrative duties with scheduled childcare responsibilities. This may include national and international travel in support of business commitments. The successful candidate will be confident operating in a corporate environment while delivering high-quality, child-focused care.

 

The Role

  • General Administration & Office Support
    • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Executive Assistant and teams across the organisation.
    • Act as a central point of contact for general enquiries, ensuring timely, professional responses and directing requests appropriately.
    • Organise and maintain digital and physical filing systems, ensuring records are accurate, secure, and accessible.
    • Assist with document preparation including letters, presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and internal templates.
    • Handle general office tasks including printing, scanning, ordering supplies, and meeting room coordination.
    • Maintain accurate contact information, trackers, and company records.
  • Front-of-House, Office & Workplace Support
    • Act as a welcoming representative of Enspec, ensuring visitors receive a professional and positive onsite experience.
    • Support the smooth running of the St Helens office, ensuring the environment is organised, well presented, and appropriately stocked.
    • Assist with coordinating engagement activities, internal initiatives, and a positive workplace culture.
    • Support company events, hospitality, and visitor arrangements in coordination with the EA.
  • Coordination & Scheduling
    • Assist the EA with scheduling internal and external meetings.
    • Track and follow up on actions arising from meetings, chasing colleagues where required.
    • Support company-wide events, training sessions, and hospitality arrangements.
  • Company Communications
    • Draft, format, and distribute internal communications under EA guidance.
    • Assist in preparing onboarding materials, policy updates, and general company communications.
    • Support light internal content coordination (e.g. newsletters, staff updates).
  • Systems, Databases & Records
    • Support best practice use of internal systems and databases.
    • Assist with data upkeep and clean-up across teams where required.
    • Maintain registers and logs including training records, equipment lists, benefits, and onboarding trackers.
  • Executive Childcare Support (CEO & CTO)
    • Provide safe, attentive, and age-appropriate childcare for the CEO and CTO’s children as required.
    • Support daily routines, activities, meals, and transitions in line with parental guidance.
    • Create a calm, structured, and nurturing environment while remaining flexible to business schedules.
    • Travel nationally and internationally with the family during business commitments when required, providing childcare support alongside professional itineraries.
    • Liaise closely with the Executive Assistant, CEO, and CTO to plan schedules, routines, and travel requirements.
    • Maintain clear professional boundaries between business and family responsibilities at all times.
  • Travel & Logistics Support
    • Provide administrative support for business travel under EA direction (transport, accommodation, itineraries).
    • Support travel planning that includes both executive and childcare elements.
    • Assist with preparing documentation, itineraries, and logistics while travelling.
    • Ensure children’s needs are fully planned for during travel (routines, essentials, documentation).
  • Professionalism, Confidentiality & Safeguarding
    • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion, and trust at all times.
    • Handle sensitive business and family information with care and professionalism.
    • Adhere to safeguarding best practice and parental guidance.
    • Act as a positive representative of Enspec when travelling or attending events.

Qualifications and Requirements 

Essential

  • Previous experience in an administrative, office support, or coordination role and/or strong transferable experience suitable for a blended role.
  • Recognised childcare qualification (e.g. Level 3 Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent).
  • Experience providing childcare in a professional or private setting.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance varied responsibilities.
  • Professional, calm, and reliable approach.
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high emotional intelligence.
  • Comfortable working closely with senior leaders and their family.
  • Hold a valid UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • Montessori training or experience.
  • Experience supporting families alongside executive or corporate environments.
  • First Aid and safeguarding training.
  • Experience travelling with families or children.
