Director of Engineering
Mourya Ghosh joined Enspec in April 2025 as Director of Engineering, bringing over 15 years of experience in power electronics, hardware design, and cross-functional engineering leadership. As a Chartered Engineer and team builder, Mourya is focused on developing an agile, innovation-driven engineering department that supports the entire project lifecycle.
With a deep background in power inverters, rectifiers, and wide-band technologies, Mourya has worked across subsea systems, EV charging, renewable integration, and AI-based smart grids. He has held leadership roles in organisations like PB Design, GE Power, and Aker Solutions, consistently driving progress through design excellence, strategic R&D, and mentorship.
At Enspec, Mourya leads a team dedicated to delivering mechanical drawings, schematics, BOMs, PLC code, and testing procedures for both product development and site-specific projects. He is also shaping the company’s next phase of in-house capabilities, including 3D modelling.
His recent initiatives include working with London South Bank University on an AI-based power hub and identifying new grant and partner opportunities to support R&D. Mourya is passionate about advancing engineering capabilities that help Enspec meet increasing demand across high-voltage and renewable-connected systems.
What drives Mourya is the constant evolution of power systems. As grids become more decentralised and the challenges of Net Zero intensify, he believes engineers must remain curious, adaptive, and ready to lead the change.
He is enjoying his time at Enspec, mentioning that the best aspect has been without doubt the team, as everyone has a key role in the company and creates a growing environment.
Mourya holds a Master of Science in Microelectronics and Telecommunication from the University of Liverpool, where he also completed his undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), underscoring his commitment to continuous professional development and engineering excellence.
