Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
As Enspec’s CEO, Mara is responsible for all the corporate decision-making across Enspec’s financial, cultural and marketing activities. Working alongside the CTO, Mara also implements the necessary systems around resource allocation to support the company’s continued growth as well as generate clearer reporting.
Mara joined the business as Director of Marketing, Brand and Growth Strategy. During the course of her tenure in this role, the consultancy department grew by 400%, Enspec’s social following and engagement increased by 500% and the first major US client was secured as a direct result of the marketing strategy.
Following the MBO in February 2023 with CTO Tim Rastall, Mara has overseen the development of the Finance Department, the establishment of a robust HR process to support business growth and introduced a long term recruitment strategy. Under her first year of leadership, Enspec’s EBITDA has increased by x20.
Mara believes clear and compelling information is key in order to communicate on the topic of energy. As a commodity that touches everyone at different levels of technical expertise, Mara sees tailored communication as the answer to avoid convoluted and incomplete messaging
Passionate about the positive impact she is having on the future, Mara is proud to be working in an industry that is constantly evolving and while there are many challenges still to be solved, she sees this as a revolutionary turning point for people and our planet.
Mara holds an Undergraduate and Masters in Archaeology with Honours from the University of Sheffield. Transferable data and analysis skills that have played a major role in Mara’s marketing, psychology and market forecast capabilities.
Mara is an active public speaker and can be seen at leading national and international events addressing the changing perception on the importance of energy, power quality and grid connection.
