As a CAD draughtsman for Enspec, Derek is responsible for the electrical and mechanical designs, using AutoCAD Electrical for Power Factor Correction projects, including producing standard and customer specific drawings. This involves assessing the electrical clearances and customer needs with regards to space available and cable requirements.

Derek’s role also extends to overseeing the internal quality auditing and health and safety procedures, as well as assisting during on site installations and the connecting of analysers to be used for system studies.

Working on projects from large windfarms to smaller low voltage projects, Derek has over 20 years first-hand experience of Enspec’s progression and society’s move to address climate change, adopt greener energy and improve the environment. This has seen Enspec accredited with ISO14001.

Derek holds an HNC in Electrical Engineering and a HND in Mechanical Engineering.
