Enspec have an in depth understanding of the Arc Flash and Protection Coordination, running the assessments, implementing mitigating measures and the appropriate protection labels to display on site.
Why get an Arc Flash Assessment?
Arc Flash (often called a flashover) is an electrical explosion or discharge resulting from a connection through air to ground or another voltage phase in an electrical system. This can affect almost any business and is a requirement for companies with a risk of incident levels above 8 Cal/cm2. Arc flash incidents are almost impossible to eliminate completely, but people and companies can be adequately protected with proper mitigation. This is a safety regulation, as arc flash incidents can cause burns, blindness, and even death. In the event of an incident, where a business hasn't followed the appropriate regulation, significant fines can occur.
