Enspec Power is delighted to announce that Katie Woodford has been named Finance Team Player of the Year at the Finance Awards North West 2026.

The award recognises Katie’s contribution to both the finance team and the wider business, following a year of continued development and increasing responsibility within her role.

Since moving into a full-time finance position, Katie has become an integral part of the finance function, supporting the delivery of key financial processes while helping to maintain the collaborative culture that underpins the team. Her willingness to take ownership, support colleagues and embrace new challenges has made her a valued contributor across the organisation.

The recognition follows Katie’s shortlisting in the category earlier this year, alongside fellow Enspec finance team member and Head of Finance, Toma Zareckaite, who was shortlisted in the Financial Controller of the Year category. Together, the nominations highlighted the growing influence of the finance function within the business and its role in supporting Enspec’s continued development.

Toma Zareckaite, Head of Finance, says:

“I’m incredibly proud of Katie and the progress she has made over the last year. Since moving into a full-time finance role, Katie has embraced every challenge, consistently supported both the finance team and the wider business, and demonstrated the qualities of a true team player.

The award is thoroughly deserved recognition for Katie’s hard work, positive attitude, and commitment to learning and development.”

Katie’s success reflects a commitment to continuous improvement that is valued throughout the business. Alongside her day-to-day responsibilities, she has continued to expand her knowledge and capabilities, helping to strengthen the finance team while supporting colleagues across multiple departments.

Mara Rastall, Enspec CEO, adds:

“We’re delighted to see Katie recognised in this way. Her development over the past year has been impressive to see, and this award reflects the contribution she makes to both the finance team and the wider business.

I’m also proud to see recognition across the Enspec finance department. Awards may be presented to individuals, but they also reflect the collaboration and mentorship that sit behind them. Seeing both Katie and Toma recognised is a testament to the culture, talent and leadership we continue to build across the business.”

While the award recognises an individual achievement, it also reflects the strength of the team around her. As Enspec continues to grow, the finance function plays an increasingly important role in supporting the business with the insight, discipline and collaboration needed to make informed decisions and deliver sustainable success.

Congratulations, Katie, from everyone at Enspec Power.
