Luke\u2019s career at Enspec began back in 2011. Aged just 19, he combined his role as an electrical fitter with studying towards a HNC in electrical and electronic engineering.
\nToday, he oversees the manufacturing department, ensuring production, performance and quality standards are consistently met. He also manages Enspec\u2019s design capabilities through strategic input on how control systems are going to work while constantly looking at new ways to improve the products.<\/p>\n
Luke\u2019s valuable knowledge and experience across the manufacturing side of Enspec\u2019s products has been gained through actively seeing the developments within the industry. Thinking on his feet, Luke recognises the importance of a right first time approach to control circuits and managing site installs<\/p>\n
As a Project Engineer, Luke faced a challenging project for EDF Renewables at Fallago Rig Wind Farm in Scotland. The main obstacle was the sheer size of the project and the time constraints, it was also one of Enspec\u2019s first installation projects.<\/p>\n
The successful completion was achieved due to improving the manufacturing process in order to suit the needs of the project and find the most efficient way to complete six identical capacitor banks.<\/p>\n
Luke\u2019s quick thinking was brought into play to avoid the traditional time-consuming approach of completing one panel at a time on each capacitor bank. Instead, Luke suggested having the tools for each person on wheels, eliminating the need for walking back and forth. This approach contributed to the project being completed on time.<\/p>\n
Luke holds a Level 3 in Engineering (Electrical\/Mechanical), a HNC in Electrical Engineering from the City of Sunderland College, has conducted Impellus ILM Management and Prince2 Project Management.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-2954","team","type-team","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
