In July, Enspec field engineers were at the GSK Montrose site. This pharmaceutical manufacturing site produce active ingredients for a number of medicines in important areas such as respiratory disease and HIV/AIDS.
As part of an ongoing site update and preventive maintenance programme, our engineers carried out harmonic surveys on the power systems to check for any potential power quality issues. The studies help to ensure that the power infrastructure is maintained to deliver optimum production uptime. Following the surveys, we supplied four 500kVAr VArComp® Q-VAr® systems to combat potential harmonic distortion effects on the power system. The equipment is now fully commissioned and helping to ensure electrical system reliability and we look forward to supporting more sites in this important sector.
